If the passenger is using a refundable ticket he can select to receive the travel funds after subtracting all the charges as a refund. The refund will revert to the original mode of payment.
If the passenger is on a non-refundable ticket, he doesn’t have a choice. The Travel funds will be converted into credits upon cancellation with a validity of 1 year. Although the passenger can try to request a refund against these credits, it is unlikely as they will be used for future travel
