Degradable plugs, unlike composite plugs, are used in a dissolvable frac plug-and-perf system to segregate zones during stimulation. This technique works with shale, sandstone, dolomite, and other materials in vertical, deviated, or horizontal applications. The dissolvable frac plug can be placed anywhere in the wellbore to separate different zones and functions similarly to a conventional frac plug.
