Surrogacy IVF (in vitro fertilization) is a type of assisted reproductive technology (ART) in which a gestational surrogate, also known as a gestational carrier, carries an embryo created with the intended parents' or donors' eggs and sperm. In this process, the surrogate is not biologically related to the child, as the embryo is created through IVF using either the intended parents' genetic material or donor gametes.
