Babu Singh’s Thakur Pedha – the heritage of Pedha originated in the Lucknow neighbourhood village of Unnao and afterwards moved to Dharwad, Karnataka. The now-famous local confection was created and sold by Ramratansingh Thakur in the first generation and was carried on by Mohansingh Thakur in the second. With the emergence of the third generation Babusingh Thakur, the confection started to acquire popularity. Since then, the popularity of our handmade, handcrafted confections has increased. The fourth generation Ramratansingh Thakur continues to expand the company. The heritage is presently being carried on by Durgasingh Thakur and Karansingh Thakur, who represent the fifth and sixth generations of Babu Singh’s Thakur Pedha , respectively.
