The MRCP Part 2 Clinical Examination, also known as Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills (PACES), is a test designed to evaluate the clinical knowledge and skills of trainee doctors aiming to pursue higher specialist training, such as ST3. During the examination, candidates will be evaluated on their ability to perform essential clinical skills. The exam comprises five clinical stations where candidates will encounter either real patients with specific conditions or trained individuals acting as surrogates. At each station, two independent examiners will observe and assess the candidate's performance.
