Introducing our eco-friendly solution to plastic waste – Biodegradable Plastic Bags! These bags are designed to minimize environmental impact while providing you with the convenience you need.
Biodegradable plastic bags are a type of packaging made from materials that are designed to break down naturally over time, minimizing their impact on the environment compared to traditional plastic bags. These bags are created using biopolymers derived from renewable resources, such as cornstarch, potato starch, or other plant-based materials. They are also sometimes referred to as compostable bags.
The manufacturing process of biodegradable plastic bags involves converting these renewable materials into a polymer that shares similar properties with conventional plastic. However, unlike regular plastic bags, which can persist in the environment for hundreds of years, biodegradable bags are engineered to degrade more rapidly when exposed to the elements.
When these bags end up in natural environments or composting facilities, the action of microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, along with exposure to heat, moisture, and oxygen, breaks down the molecular structure of the bags. This degradation process leads to the bags eventually breaking apart into smaller pieces and returning to nature as organic matter. In ideal conditions, biodegradable plastic bags can fully decompose within a few months to a few years, depending on the specific material composition and environmental conditions.
