This appellation spreads throughout the Cote de Nuits, from Corgoloin to Fixin but this particular vineyard is in Corgoloin at the top of the slope and close to the marble quarry. It makes very impressive Pinot Noir wines and this is certainly no exception. The aromas are of red and black fruits with some floral notes above, a touch of vanilla too and it is perfectly at home with some feathered game, poultry, and red meats. It is designed for drinking early but it will reward a year or two of cellaring, especially with a roast pheasant or suchlike. A great value bottle of wine.
