Best item upgrader upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item upgrader kit to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. In some instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades on its own.
A weapon's upgrade items costs depend on the quality of the weapon and its current level.
