Espag handles
Espag handles are the most commonly used handle type used on uPVC windows (although they're also found on aluminium and timber windows too). They're operated by a multi-point lock which locks the windows when they are closed. The handle is operated by turning a spindle on the back that locks into a gearbox within the changing window handles. It then rotates a series of locks around the outside of the double glazed window handles, allowing it to open it. Espag handles come in various sizes for spindles starting as small as 10 mm or up to 55 mm.
