Sabuj Sangha is a non-profit, non-government development organization committed to improving the lives of people less fortunate in West Bengal, India, through participation and empowerment. Sabuj Sangha traces its roots to a social club initiated in 1954 in the village of Nandakumarpur in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It soon became involved in local efforts to enhance wellbeing of the communities caught between the vagaries of nature and shifting tides in the Sundarban delta and the significant developmental deficits in the region.
