Keshi pearls, also known as “keshi” or “seed pearls,” are a type of non-nucleated or natural pearl that forms in certain types of mollusks, primarily oysters. Unlike traditional cultured pearls, which are created through the intentional insertion of a nucleus (usually a small piece of shell) into the mollusks in freshwaters such as lakes and ponds, Keshi pearls do not have any nucleus in them.
