Egyptian cotton sheets have a distinct feel due to their unique properties. There are extra-long staples in Egyptian cotton, which means that each fiber is exceptionally long.
For sheets to be considered 100% Egyptian, the cotton must come from Egyptian sellers with Cotton Egypt Association certification. Sheet sets containing Egyptian cotton and other cotton varieties are simply labeled "Egyptian cotton." These options usually cost less than Egyptian cotton sheets made from 100% cotton.
