Provigil also known as Modafinil is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of excessive sleepiness caused by sleep disorders including narcolepsy and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). It contains an active drug Modafinil, a prescription drug, intended to promote wakefulness during work hours, especially if you have a work schedule that keeps you from having excessive sleep.
Provigil does not cure the signs and symptoms of sleep disorders. It is not used for fatigue or holding off sleep in people without sleep disorders. It needs to be clarified how the drug works to keep you awake.
